Welcome to the first-ever DAC Theater Season!
It is our goal to provide entertaining, professional and quality theater to Durango and the surrounding communities. We hope to excite our audience with old favorites and challenge them with new and non-traditional works. Therefore, our season includes more edgy, adult dramas, musicals and poignant comedies fun for the whole family. We are also committed to fostering a collaborative spirit by inviting local theater artists and other companies to join our artistic community here at DAC. Overall, our mission is to join the forces of creativity, collaboration and community – and this means you!
We can all agree that a beautiful painting, a dance or a moving play can capture the human spirit and engage our imagination. It is an audience, after all, which moves a piece of art from being an inert object to one of movement and meaning. So this year, I encourage you to close the computer or put down the remote control and step into the world of theater at the Durango Arts Center. I invite you to become an audience member for one or all of our shows and prepare to be moved, entertained and enlightened!
