ARTS & CULTURE BLOCK GRANT

The Durango Arts Center administers the Arts & Culture Block Grant as part of the City of Durango’s Community Support Funding.  Funds are provided through the City’s annual budget process and dedicated for the enrichment of the community through strengthening cultural programs. This Block Grant supports 2015-16 City Council Goals, specifically Goal 4: “Envision Durango’s Sense of Place by creating character districts, promoting responsible land use planning, and maintaining the community’s sense of identity.”

To be eligible for funding consideration, applicants must –

  • Hold a 501(c)3 (or fiscally sponsored) designation
  • Have operated in good financial standing for at least 2 years
  • Be based in Durango, or directly program within Durango city limits

Block Grant funds are reimbursable upon successful completion of program upon submission of a Results Report demonstrating community impact and appropriate use of funds.
