Propose a Class

Are you a teaching artist who would like to share the creative process with our DAC community? The Durango Arts Center  is interested in proposal submissions for the following programs.

After-School Arts. Classes begin September 2010 and continue through May 2011.  Teaching artists teach in the art rooms of our local elementary schools once a week. Each school session consists of classes that are 1 hour and  divided by ages: Kindergarten through 2nd grades and 3rd through 5th grades.  Classes are scheduled between the hours of 2:45 and 5:45 Monday through Friday.

Arts Classes and Workshops. DAC  is looking for enthusiastic teaching artists with original ideas to share with our community. Classes or workshops can be geared to children, teens, or adults. Painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, and photography are all encouraged. Video and other contemporary art forms are also valuable mediums to teach in the Durango community.
