Comprised of borrowed materials from the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum and from private collections. The exhibit will also display traditional Ute tribal arts, including baskets, flutes, leatherwork, parfleche boxes, drums, and beadwork, produced by contemporary Ute artists, which will be offered for sale.

There will be a 12-foot traditional Native American tipi installed in the Barbara Conrad Gallery. Ute storytelling will take place on a daily basis inside the tipi for school groups. Interested school groups should contact the DAC for scheduling. Three films, “Gathering Willows,” “Song of the Basket,” and “Ute Legacy” will play continuously in the Gallery from 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.
