The Durango Arts Center requires substantial continuing support of individuals and businesses. You can help support the DAC’s mission by becoming a member, making a contribution to the general fund or to a program of your choice, or by sponsoring an exhibit or performance. Download a membership brochure here. The DAC has been approved by the Colorado Economic Development Commission as an Enterprise Zone (EZ) Contribution Project.
The EZ designation recognizes DAC’s positive impact on the economic vitality of Durango through the visual and performing arts. For DAC’s supporters, the EZ designation is a great “deal.” Contributions over $250 in any year earn the donor a Colorado state income tax credit of 25% of the contribution, if cash, or 12.5% of the value of in-kind contributions. This means that for contributors paying both federal and Colorado income taxes, DAC receives about $2 for every $1 of net cost to the donor.
