VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT DAC
The Durango Arts Center welcomes to its volunteer program those individuals who value the mission of the DAC. We are fortunate to have approximately 100 active volunteers within the structure of our organization who contribute to the quality and vitality of the DAC. But we still need you!
From the Center’s inception in 1966, volunteers have been an integral part of our efforts to support and advocate for the arts in the community. Our volunteers contribute thousands of hours every year and are involved in all aspects of operation of the Durango Arts Center. We strive to match our volunteers with tasks that meet their schedules, whether one-time help or continuing, at home or at the DAC. There are many benefits to volunteering: we are a community-service organization, and we provide an opportunity for you to use your skills, talents and experience; you may often receive complimentary tickets to some events, 10% discount on purchases in our galleries and shop and an invitation for you and a guest to attend our annual Volunteer Appreciation Gala and Holiday Art Olé Preview in November.
We look forward to your participation in the continual development of DAC as a vital arts, educational and cultural institution. Download a volunteer application, call (970) 259-2606 or email jeannie@durangoarts.org and let us know your interests.
