Founded in 2003, G.O.A.L. is an educational program of the Durango Arts Center designed for girls entering 6th through 9th grades. It offers students opportunities for skill building and problem solving in the areas of identity, creativity, and self-esteem with an emphasis on art making and encounters with artist role models.  Through a series of workshops in a two-week summer intensive, girls develop their artistic skills and learn to use the resources within themselves and in their environment to create a vision for their present and future in addition to working toward their goals and dreams.
