February 1 – 25: Sweethearts of the Arts in the Barbara Conrad Gallery. Sweethearts of the Arts Valentine Fair, January 31 - February 7.

February 10: Deadline for submissions for 10-Minute Play Contest (Entries must be postmarked on or before February 18.)

February 1 & 2: "Kids Follies": This ever-popular fun-filled family version of the Follies returns to the DAC Theater, at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, students and children.

4 Beginning Basket Weaving with Karen Aldrich, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Education studio

Events in the Theater

The Durango Arts Center Theater is a wonderful venue to rent. Whether you are holding a lecture, a breakfast meeting, a fundraising event or a concert, let the atmosphere of the theater add to the fun.

The theater has four options available for seating:

Chairs only (up to 200 people)
Chairs and small caberet tables (up to 180 people)
13 six-food round tables (each table can seat up to 10 people)
No chairs or tables

We have a state-of-the-art sound and lights booth and our own technicians can run any combination you may need, from powerpoint projections to cds and dvd movies to full theatrical productions.

We have a full bar and can also order any items you made for your event. However, we do not allow special events permits that would allow you to sell donated liquor for your event.

Prices vary per event as we do have non-profit rates to help other community non-profits. All reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to book early. We do try to let the community use our theater as much as possible and are willing to work with any group.
