The Durango Arts Center is pleased to announce its 2012 10-Minute Play Contest, which will culminate in a full production in the fall of 2012.

February 14, 7:30 p.m. (a special Valentines’ Day Showing)
February 18, 2 p.m. matinee
This second-longest running off-Broadway musical explores everything you wanted to know about the joys of dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws but were afraid to ask. Produced by Imaginary Friends, directed by Mona Wood-Patterson with music direction by Helen Gregory. Not recommended for children under 12.

11 Sweetheart of the Arts honoring Gemma Kavanagh, Linda Mack, Rochelle Mann and Mona Wood-Patterson. 5:30 p.m. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres; 7 p.m. entertainment and presentations. Tickets are $75 and go on sale January 11. Reservation deadline is January 25.

The top entries of the 10-Minute Play 2012 Contest will be presented as staged readings at The Durango Arts Center. The Judges will select the top 5 entries and the winner of the Grand Prize Award ($500). Audience members will select their favorite 10 Minute Play for an award of $50.
