Standup 101: Fundamentals

Never done standup before? Perfect. This is exactly where you start.

Standup 101 is a four-hour introductory workshop for anyone who has ever thought “I could do that” while watching a comedian. No experience necessary…just show up! 🙂

Over four hours, we’ll cover:

• The anatomy of a joke (premise, setup, punchline)
• Stage presence and delivery basics (including what to do with your hands, your nerves, and the mic stand)
• Writing your first joke and actually performing it in a low-stakes, supportive environment

You’ll leave with a foundational understanding of how standup works, a few jokes you wrote yourself, and some hands-on experience at the mic.
