Join us for a night of women-centric short ski films and planning for DAC’s 24-Hour Theatre!
24-Hour Theatre will kick things off at 6:30pm, getting a series of prompts for the writers and cast breakdowns to incorporate into their short plays that hit the stage the following night! At 7:00pm, the prompts will be picked and the writers will hit the ground running, creating scripts overnight for the stage show on Saturday, November 21. Once the the prompts are picked, Girl Winter takes over!
Girl Winter is a collection of femme-forward and gender-nonconforming films. The tour aims to shift the narrative of ski & snowboard films seen on the big screen each fall and include new voices in the stories we consume.
We will showcase 5 films followed by a Q+A and poster signing with the athletes and filmmakers who brought the films to life. We hope these screenings will provide a space to continue the celebration of women in snow sports. All are welcome!
