10-Minute Play Festival

Welcome to the Durango Arts Center’s 16th Annual 10-Minute Play Festival! Beginning in January of each year, the Durango Arts Repertory Theater (DART) at the Durango Arts Center (DAC) invites playwrights from around the world to submit original 10-minute plays. The plays go through a tiered reading process (author names and hometowns are kept anonymous from the judges). The top 6-10 plays will be given a full production and playwrights receive a royalties for a 3-show weekend. Come join us for the merry mayhem!

Our 2026 season theme — “The State We Are In” — celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 150th anniversary of Colorado. To complement this theme, we are seeking submissions featuring Colorado or U.S.-based subject matter.
